Arifin Shuvo - latest films

Arifin Shuvoo has already appeared in two feature films– Khijir Hayat Khan’s film Jaago which was released in 2009 and Enamul Karim Nirjhar’s film ‘Namuna’ which is yet to be released.

Shuvoo has performed in more than 20 single-episode TV plays and six drama serials so far and worked as a radio jockey in Radio Foorti for one year. Arifin, who began his career as a model in TV commercials, shared his experiences with New Age recently.

The actor is going to perform in Impress Telefilm’s film Warish. He is also negotiating with a local and an Indian film producer, which will be finalised soon.

Arifin Shuvoo went to Kolkata last year to participate in a 20-day workshop on dance while one of the instructors named Bhaskar Routh noticed him and asked him to work for Indian films. ‘I was very excited at the proposal,’ said Shuvoo. Many other directors of Kolkata also showed interest in casting him in their coming movies, he said.

When asked about his experience in acting in films, Shuvoo said, ‘The experience is very different compared to other mediums. Everything in the industry—camera, crew, arrangement—everything is huge. However, I did not get scared and managed to make myself comfortable.’

Speaking about his future career planning, he said, ‘I have been simultaneously working in different fields including TV commercials, TV plays and films. But I have never done anything with plans. Still I don’t have any plan.’

Arifin Shuvoo began his acting career in Mostafa Sarwar Farooki’s drama Waiting Room and Wahid Tareque’s Chhoto Bela Boro Bela which were telecast on Channel i and NTV respectively on the occasion of Eid 2007.
