Yes it is the wedding season……and there are lots of wedding bell to ring in Bollywood in 2012!

For David Dhawan’s son, the bell has already ringed…..and the wedding is on February 10-12 in the beautiful Goa.

Rohit, the director of box office hit “Dsei Boyz” is all set to tie the knot. He is getting married to his long time girl friend Jaanvi Desai, a fashion merchandiser.

Rohit reveals, "She has absolutely no connection with the film industry, and that's a blessing. With all of us at home constantly talking cinema, I need a window to the outside world. Her name is Jaanvi and I've known her for seven years. I wouldn't exactly call her a childhood sweetheart. During the time we've been together, we've gradually come to realize that we were meant to spend our lives together."

Speaking shyly on the wedding, "I am getting married in February. But right now, my entire focus is on the box office collections of Desi Boyz. So I've put wedding plans on the backburner."

Sources said, "Rohit got engaged to Jaanvi last year. There will be a mehndi, sangeet and wedding followed by a reception - all held in Goa. David Dhawan is coordinating the wedding arrangements. It was Rohit's choice to have a wedding in Goa. He wanted to have a simple court wedding and keep it intimate and small but his family requested him to have a proper Punjabi wedding."

It is speculated that the Rohit-Jaanvi wedding will be one of the most lavish weddings that filmdom has seen.

The guest list is impressive with all of David's heroes, heroines and producers. All other big stars and Rohit’s close friends from New York University are also flying down for the wedding.

Rohit also said, "I'm happy I am getting married to the girl I have been going around with for the last seven years. I hope marriage makes me a better filmmaker. I just turned 28 and everything is moving so fast!"

Bollywood’s bombshell, Mallika Sherawat and romantic hero, Vivek Oberoi is pairing up for their new flick, “Kismat, Paisa, Love, Dilli”.

In “Kismat, Paisa, Love, Dilli”, Vivek will play a hardcore Delhi guy and Mallika a Haryani lady. Therefore, undoubtedly the intimate scene(s) will be too loud and intense.

The script of the movie demands a lip-locking scene and intense love between the duo. However, Vivek is nervous and not quite comfortable with the scene since, he has never kissed on-screen before. On the other hand, the lip-locking queen is more than okay with the idea as she has done such before in her films.

Mallika hearing on Vivek’s skeptical view said, she would teach him how to kiss and that it would be no big deal.

The scene will be shot at Buddha Gardens in Delhi, which is a popular lovers spot. The writers thought this would be an ideal location since people would be familiar with the surroundings and therefore will look natural.

The film is to be produced by Amit Chandra and Kishen Chowdhary.

It’s a girl for Lara Dutta and Mahesh Bhupathi

Lara Dutta and Mahesh Bhupathi are the proud parents of a baby girl. The couple welcomed the latest addition to the family on Friday at 3:30 pm at Lilavati Hospital.

Lara's gynaecologist and obstetrician Dr Kiran Coelho from Lilavati Hospital told Mumbai Mirror, "Lara, who was experiencing labour pains, was admitted to the hospital on Thursday night. She tried very hard to have a natural delivery, but in order to avoid any complications we took a call and went ahead with a C-Section at 3:30 pm yesterday. Weighing 3.5 kg, the baby girl is healthy. She's very beautiful just like Lara. Both, Lara and the baby are doing well."

The ecstatic father, Mahesh, who is abroad participating in the Tennis doubles of the US Open, took to his Twitter account to tweet the news to his followers. He wrote: 'ITS A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! @DuttaLara. I Love u....'

Lara and Mahesh tied the knot on February 16, 2010 in a civil ceremony in Mumbai. They later had a lavish Christian wedding in Goa.

The hot and sizzling actress, Bipasha Basu, is all set to follow Kareena Kapoor’s footstep.

Some time back Kareena danced to a song that has her name in the lyrics.

Now, Bips baby will dance on a 'Bipasha Bipasha' number in her up-coming movie “Jodi Breakers” pairing opposite Madhavan.

The Bengali beauty said, "There's no competition whatsoever. The thought didn't even cross my mind. It's not for me to say but the director and choreographer to tell me what I'm to do."

"I enjoyed doing the number. Dancing is fun."

Commenting on the movie she said, "Madhavan is such a sweetheart. He's a great person and acting with him is just so much fun. He's a lovely co-star".

Bipasha Basu had a successful modeling career before venturing into films. She debuted in a negative role in Ajnabee (2001), her first successful film was Raaz (2002) for which she was nominated for Filmfare Best Actress Award. Besides working in Hindi movies, she has also worked in Telugu, Bengali and Tamil language films.

Don 2 to be screened at the Berlin International Film Festival

King Khan’s “Don 2: The King is Back” will be screened at the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival, to be held from February 9-19, 2012.

Shah Rukh along with his co-star Priyanka Chopra, director Farhan Akhtar and producer Ritesh Sidhwani, will attend the screening, scheduled at the Friedrichstadt-Palast theatre February 11 at 9.30pm.

Producer Ritesh Sidhwani said, “It is an honor and a privilege for us to have our movie screened on an international platform. It had been our resolution to deliver good cinema, and we are delighted that our work is appreciated by cinema lovers worldwide”.

The movie, been produced by Excel Entertainment, will have its mainstream theatrical release in Germany with a dubbed version in German language.

Besides the German release on February 16, the film will also hit theatres in Russia, Turkey, Israel, France, China and, Korea.

Zee Cine Awards 2012

The Zee Cine Awards or "ZCA" for short is an awards ceremony for the Hindi film industry. It was first held in 1998 in Mumbai. Since then, it has gained substantial popularity as a notable awards ceremony to the Indian population as well as to the viewers of Zee Network.

Bollywood stars sizzled at the Zee Cine Awards 2012. Shahrukh Khan and his ‘Don 2’ co-star Priyanka Chopra hosted the event. Bollywood stars entertained the Venetian Macau audience with their sizzling performance.

Like many times, the Best Actor (Jury) award went to Shah Rukh Khan for 'Don 2'. While Ranbir Kapoor won the Best Actor (Popular) award for 'Rockstar'. While Vidya Balan secured both the Best Actress (Popular) and Best Actress (Jury) award for 'The Dirty Picture'.

The veteran actor Jeetendra got the Lifetime Achievement Award.

The Best Director award went to Imtiaz Ali’s basket for 'Rockstar'. The Best Film (Jury) award went to “The Dirty Picture” and “RA.One”, the Best Action Film. Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti for 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' got the Best Story award. Best Editing award went to Aarti Bajaj for 'Rockstar'.

AR Rahman got the Best Music award and Irshad Kamil for 'Rockstar' got the Best Lyrics award.

The nominations were announced on January 1, 2012 for outstanding film achievements of the year 2011. With millions of votes pouring in every year from across the globe, Pan Bahar Presents Zee Cine Awards 2012 is the most definitive measure of viewers’ choice in movie awards.

In 2004, the ZCA went international and had their ceremony in Dubai, and in following years in London, Mauritius, Malaysia, and London again in 2008. It was not held in 2009 or 2010, but resumed in 2011, being held in Singapore.

Kareena Kapoor Rs 40 lakh necklace

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor are considered to be one of the hottest couple in Bollywood. They relationship is going very steady for many years along with their career and they have decided to tie the knot in February 2012.

Saif said that he has decided to get married in February 2012 soon after the release of his production venture ‘Agent Vinod’ but if for some reason, the release of the film gets postpone then he would push his marriage to March but won’t go beyond March.

The couple is very excited about the wedding and they want the wedding to be like a royal one. The wedding date has not yet been declared yet. However, it has been heard that Saif and Kareena will make an official announcement of the wedding during the promotions of their film, ‘Agent Vinod’.

It seems the preparation of the much awaited royal wedding has already been started as Saif’s lady love has reportedly ordered a royal necklace worth Rs 40 lakh.

The necklace will be running from her neck to the waist. The very expensive royal necklace necklace would be studded with precious gems and would weigh about 400 gm.

It will take two months time for the craftsmanship. The making of the necklace involves painstaking handwork.

Apsara Award 2012

Stars sashayed stardom…dressed in their classiest, gorgeous best walked down the red carpet to attend the 7th Chevrolet Apsara Awards 2012 powered by Venus Soap. Hosted by Farah Khan and Karan Johar, Apsara Awards was held at Mumbai’s plush Yash Raj studios, Andheri.

The Film & Television Producers Guild of India and Wizcraft International Entertainment announced its much awaited winners for the finest talents in Film & Television for the year 2011.

Ranbir Kapoor and Vidya Balan for the third time won the Apsara best actor male and female awards for their performances in ‘Rockstar’ and ‘The Dirty Picture’.

Ranbir said, “This is my 3rd Apsara Award and actually, I don’t feel humbled because I worked really hard for this role, so I’m very happy that I got the award for it. I express my deepest gratitude to the Guild for giving me this honor; it is very special to me.”

The Best Film award went to “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara" and Zoya Akhtar won the Best Director for the movie. Reema Katgi and Zoya Akhtar got the Best Story and Screenplay for “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara".

A. R. Rahman got the Best Music award for ‘Rockstar’ while Irshad Kamil for ‘Nadaan Parinday’ in ‘Rockstar’ got the Best Lyrics award.

Hindustan Times Readers Choice Award for best entertainer went to Shahrukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra.

Guild honour for excellence On TV went to Amitabh Bachchan for the show Kaun Banega Crorepati.

The evening had great performances from the soon to be wed Genelia D’Souza and Riteish Deshmukh, Kareena Kapoor grooved to the song ‘Nakka Mukka’, ‘Ringa Ringa’ and the chartbuster ‘Kolaveri Di’. Amisha Patel danced to recent hit item numbers like ‘Chikni chameli’, ‘Ooh La La’ and ‘Madhubala’.

You are one of those few actresses, who debuted in films after you got married. What made you take up acting as a career choice?
Marriage shouldn't be THE point in life, where everything we do is before and after. Most women do that to themselves. I am glad that hasn't happened to me. I am happy I could just do what I absolutely love doing.

From a critically acclaimed film like Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi to Desi Boyz. Are you consciously breaking free from the 'serious' actress image?
Well, I did Yeh Saali Zindagi too, which was a very Guy Ritchie kind of film. It wasn't completely serious or commercial. I want to do popular cinema like Delhi Belly, Khosla Ka Ghosla etc. The idea is to do good work. There are no boundaries as such.

Now that you are also doing mainstream cinema, how do you think you will fare? What sets you apart? (Thinks) Apart from my fantastic cheek bones and jaw line, I think it's the fact that I look like the Smita Patil of commercial films! Look, it's a great time in Bollywood. So much work is happening. What sets each of us apart is how strong our screen presence is. Everyone is different.

You are doing an item song in Joker. Does it mean you are game for this new trend, where actresses have replaced item girls?
I don't think it's a trend. If more and more people follow the same thing, it just becomes acceptable. Also, if you are a good dancer and if there is a nice song out there and someone wants to make that song the highlight of the film, I don't see any harm doing it.

You had a catfight with Deepika Padukone during Desi Boyz... (Mock laughter) Issues with Deepika?
We shot together only for two days, so there is no chance that I had a 'catfight' with her. Also, there was enough budget for each of us to buy a dress, so we wouldn't fight for the same dress. I have no idea where this news came from. All I know is, I bought a pink dress for myself that I really liked and wanted to use in the film. And I am sure Deepika can go buy a dress for herself!

Apparently, Sudhir Mishra is obsessed with you. You've even been linked to him... It's very awkward. He's my mentor and guru. So, obviously, I would go back to the person if the need be. Once you get associated with a person, people start calling the relationship whatever they want to... It is very disgusting. But it hasn't affected my equation with him at all. We are both adults and we know how the industry functions.

Your husband Jyoti Randhawa doesn't belong to the film industry. How do you both deal with insecurities?
It's great that he doesn't belong to the same industry. It's a good disconnect for me as well. It keeps me grounded. Or else, I would go back and keep talking about the same thing. When I go back, we talk about sports, what we are doing and other things. It's very real. As far insecurities are concerned, I don't know... Like I said, Jyoti is very secure and confident just the way he is. There is no insecurity at all. I think that's what helps me too. It stabilises me.

John Abraham tied the knot already

Girls out there.. don’t drop your pearl tears …don’t be disheartened, of the marriage news of the most eligible bachelor of Bollywood....because the news is yet to be confirmed!

The latest hush-hush rumor of Bollywood is that John Abraham got secretly married to his new girlfriend Priya Runchul. 

The couple tied the knot two weeks ago in a private ceremony in LA. The wedding was apparently attended only by close friends and family members of John and Priya.

Priya Runchul, a financial analyst, supposedly lives in Los Angeles (LA) with family. It has been known that John Abraham had celebrated his birthday on December 17th with Priya in LA.

The buzz is going around on social networking sites but the couple hasn’t confirmed anything yet.

Earlier, John confirmed that he will tie the knot in the year 2012 but, it has never been expected that he would… so soon! 

The long nine years of love-affair of the hottie Bipasha Basu and the hunk John Abraham, finally broke last year. The couple were considered as Bollywood’s ideal couple and their break-up after so long years was unimaginable. It is said that the duo had a fall out over marriage issue. The sexy lady wanted to settle down but the man in charge had a marriage phobia and was not up for it so soon.

Ranbir Kapoor on Deepika's feet

Ranbir Kapoor recently won the best actor screen award for the film ‘Rockstar’ at the Colors Screen award ceremony.

Filmmaker Subhash Ghai and the beautiful actress Deepika, who is Ranbir’s ex-girlfriend, were requested to hand over the award to Ranbir Kapoor. After receiving the award, Ranbir bent down and touched Subhash Ghai’s feet for blessings and then by surprise touched Deepika Padukone’s feet as well.

Deepika took the funny act of Ranbir very sportingly and just passed it out with a laugh.

Sources said, “Deepika was chosen to give away the award to RK to attract eyeballs and raise eyebrows. They were ex-lovers but now the situation is different”.

Deepika won the Popular Choice award for Aarakshan at the Colors Screen award.

Deepika looked extremely ravishing and sexy on the occasion in deep cut backless green gown.

Ashish Chowdhry suffers a serious finger injury

Aashish Chaudhary, the former Indian model and actor and also the brand ambassador of Onida suffered a serious finger injury while practising for the upcoming match to be held at Sharjah.

Ashish Chowdhry is the wicket keeper of Salman and Sohail Khan's Celebrity Cricket League.

Despite Ashish Chowdhry being physically unfit for the match, the Khan brothers insisted to be a part of all the matches. This is because Ashish has been the wicket keeper and so he is an essential part of the team from its beginning.

The actor offered to train someone in his place and step down because of his unfit heath. But the team didn’t listen to it and flew him down for all the matches.

Celebrity Cricket Leagueis a platform which helps reunite the entire Indian film industry. The 20-20 cricket tournament has teams not only from Hindi cinema, but also Telugu, Kannada and Tamil cinema. The Celebrity Cricket League matches began on January 13 in Sharjah.

Guzaarish to hit foreign market

“Guzaarish”, the critically acclaimed film of 2010 is widely picked up by non-traditional international markets also besides the traditional ones. The Hindi drama romance film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai in the lead roles. Filmfare gave the movie a four star rating stating "Guzaarish is unabashedly Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s finest work.

Audiences throughout the world loved the film and newer markets are showing keen interest in the film. It is often said that even after a year of its release, the response from new audiences is heartening mainly because of its cinematic value. The local distributors are also talking to a leading European distributor to have “Guzaarish” released in France. This will be a first-time ever Bollywood acquisition from France. 

"Latin America as a new market is a focus for us. The Indian population is limited in Peru, which makes it even more significant an achievement to have managed a release for the film there. We're looking forward to the Guzaarish release in Peru" said Amrita Pandey (Senior Vice President, International Distribution and Syndication) of UTV Motion Pictures.

The Spanish trailer of Imran khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer “Ek Main Aur Ek Tu” will also be releasing in Latin America. Amrita said there have been enquiries on “Ek Main Aur Ek Tu” from the region. She also said, “we hope the Spanish trailers for “Ek Main Aur Ek Tu” will pave a way for day and date releases of new movies in the near future."

Amitav Bachchan to sing 'Tagore Song'

Amitav Bachchan, always stays in news for numerous reasons, be it his film or be it his grand daughter’s birth. He is one such celebrity whose news always attracts audience of all age.

This time The ‘Big B’ of Bollywood, Amitav Bachchan, has given his voice in the famous Tagore Song "Ekla Cholo Re". Obviously it is not his first time to sing a song for a movie but definitely first time to sing a Tagore song.

Sources said, the 69 year old actor sang the song for the upcoming movie "Kahani". The movie is being directed by Sujay Ghosh. 

Vidya Balan, who recently did the super hit movie "The Dirty Picture”, is also being casted in the movie along with Amitav Bachchan. 

Sources said, Big B in a social networking site wrote that the feeling of singing a Tagore song for the first time is memorable. The words of the song, beauty of the song and the rhythm of the tune are simply amazing. Big B has also written mentioned that he especially liked the part of the song where Tagore has written that if anybody does not come forward walk alone. Amitav has also thanked Vishal Shekhar, Music Director of the movie for inclusion of the song.

Wedding Bell rings for Zaheer Khan and Isha Sharvani

Fighting and leaving behind all the ups and downs of the relationship, Zaheer Khan and Isha Sharvani have decided to take their relationship to a next level, and that is tying the knot!

A close friend of the couple said, "Zaheer Khan and Isha Sharvani have decided to tie the knot at the end of March. The wedding is just two-and-a-half months away."

Zaheer emerged highest wicket taker of the World Cup 2011. After winning the World Cup and being the highest wicket taker, his proud parents insisted him on getting him married. Recently, the couple’s families met and finalised the wedding details. Recently Zaheer is on Australian tour and on his return, a final decision will be taken. If the marriage does not take place in March, they it will in October. But the families are keen on March. The friend revealed, adding that the reception is slated to be a grand affair, with the Indian cricket team and quite a few B-town personalities on the guest list.

The love birds met in 2005 when Isha was performing when the touring Australian team was leaving India. After that they met at social dos, till one day, Zaheer proposed Isha. Isha was totally amazed by the cricketer. They got into a strong relationship for two years but it only ended till 2007. They were in contact for long.
The again started dating each other in 2010. Things were going great and Zaheer even bought a new flat in Parel, where Isha moved in. Things again got a little edge but they soon fixed it.

The Dirty Picture sweeps top honours at Colors Screen Awards

It was " The Dirty Picture" all the way at the 18th Colors Screen Awards 2012 - the super hit movie Saturday won the best film award, while Milan Luthria won the best director and Vidya Balan best actress trophy for her bold performance in the picture about the rise and fall of a sex symbol. 

"The Dirty Picture" shared the best film trophy with "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara".

Ranbir Kapoor won the best actor award for his role in "Rockstar", while singing legend Asha Bhosle was honoured with the lifetime achievement award at a gala event here.

Saif Ali Khan bagged the best supporting actor award for his convincing performance as a Dalit in "Aarakshan" and Aditi Rao Hydari walked away with the best supporting actress trophy for her role in "Ye Saali Zindagi".

Prashat Narayan won the best actor in a negative role award for "Murder 2" and Priyanka Chopra was given the best actress in a negative role for her critically acclaimed performance as a femme fatale who knocks off her husbands in "7 Khoon Maaf".

In the music category, A.R. Rahman won the best music director for his rocking music in "Rockstar", while Mohit Chauhan won the best male singer trophy for the song "Phir se ud chala" in the musical romantic saga.

Best female playback singer award was given to Shreya Goshal for singing the chartbuster "Ooh la la" in "The Dirty Picture".

57th Filmfare Awards on the cards

Filmfare Magazine and ‘Idea” of Aditya Birla Group together organizes the Idea Filmfare awards since 1954.This year the award ceremony will have its 57th show on 29th of January and SRK and Ranbir Kapoor have been paired together to host it.

The prominent award show gets widely noticed for its sheer star presence and long-standing association with Hindi cinema. It is often said that Filmfare award has a very unique presence and significance which sets apart from any other Hindi Cinema award. It is also said that if a star is featured on Filmfare, then he/ she have made their presence felt in the industry.

The hosts of Idea Filmfare awards are quirky, cheeky and very much FUN! They amuse the audience with their mad antics. They take healthy digs at their contemporaries and nominees thus keeping everyone glued to their seats. This series of fun started with the hosts, Shah Rukh and Saif. Later followed by a little younger generation of hosts with Ranbir and Imran. However, the 57th Idea Filmfare awards 2011 will be a mix pot of the hosts of both the generations.

The nominations have already been declared. Nominations for Best Film includes Delhi Belly, Don 2, No One Killed Jessica, Rockstar, The Dirty Picture and, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.

Arjun Rampal, Hrithik Roshan and Shahrukh Khan - All is not well between

Friends turns foe quite often in life in Bollywood. However, it was next to impossible to Arjun Rampal, Hrithik Roshan and Shahrukh Khan. They were the best of buddies for long and they supported each other on personal and professional spaces. 

Suddenly Hrithik and Arjun gave a cold shoulder to SRK. At photographer Dabboo Ratnani’s calendar launch, Hrithik Roshan and Arjun Rampal snubbed King Khan. Everyone noticed that when Shahrukh arrived at the party his close friends Arjun Rampal and Hrithik Roshan immediately left the venue.

Sources said, “When Shah Rukh entered Olive (where the party was being held), we saw Arjun leave just then. They did not greet each other. Hrithik did the same. He was getting some pictures shot outside the gallery area and left the minute SRK came.”

Everyone is speculating that SRK-Priyanka’s alleged affair might be the issue. When Mrs. Khan was going through rough phase in her life following the rumour, both friends advised to King Khan to keep distance. However, this was not taken in a positive way by SRK.

“On the day we shot at Daulatabad Fort, over 30,000 people bought tickets to visit the place. On the last day we were shooting at the lake, which was surrounded by hills. Two of those were completely filled with people. It was madness. Some people tried to get too close to Priyanka and that's when Shahid came forward and took her aside,” the source said.

Everytime ahead of a show, he says, 'Dekhna ab jab main boloonga, toh logon ko pata chal hee jayega ki mujhe acting nahin aati!' But, it's all a sham; he's a natural actor!' 

Love actually Try ragging her about her husband making her blush even today, and Shabana says pertly: "There are young girls who tell me that I'm so lucky to have such a romantic poet for a husband, and I always tell them that Javed doesn't have a romantic bone in his body! He reasons, 'Just because you are a trapeze artiste, it doesn't mean you have to hang upside down even at home!' But, the binding force in our marriage is our deep friendship and our shared world-view. Javed always says - 'shaadi bhi hamari dosti ko nahin hila saki!' We do have our shares of fights. Recently, when we were building our home - Sukoon - both of us had different takes on how it should look. After a while, I was completely baffled by the scales that the home had taken. A dear friend then told me - "Shabana, the difference between you and Javed is of Sholay and Ankur.' He can only think 70mm and I go into minute details. But, we accept and cherish these differences!"

Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal's perfume ‘Alive’ will be launched in Mumbai on January 12, 2012. ‘Alive’ will be available in two different scents but the range will increase in the coming months.

The perfume is produced by Drom Fragrances International and will be distributed by Baccarose, well known for distribution of some world famous brands.

Arjun is the third Bollywood actor in the picture to come up with perfume line after Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan.

It took Arjun more than six months to select the fragrance for his perfume.
'Selecting a fragrance for a perfume is an extremely time-consuming and tough task.It took me six months to do so. One can't allot more than three hours a day to savouring scents because after that your sense of smell goes for a toss,' said Arjun.

He added 'Unanimously, they all liked the best the two fragrances that I had selected. Those are the two scents that have gone into the two perfumes that I am putting out’.

Actress Vidya Balan gets pregnant - 'Dirty'

Actress Vidya Balan plays her name sake - Vidya - in Sujoy Ghosh's Kahaani. We caught up with the actress at the trailer launch of this film.

"I play Vidya Bagchi, a pregnant lady in search of her husband. It's a beautiful story, and it was humbling when Sujoy told me he wrote the character keeping me in mind," said Vidya, still basking in the glory of The Dirty Picture.

From wearing a red sari, Vidya is now going around in a pregnant avatar. "It's a good way to make the audience relate to your character and get to know the character better. If I have acted in a movie, I'll do everything that is required of me to promote it well," she explained.

So how tough was it playing preggers? "I've tried to do the best I could. When I was younger, I had keenly observed how pregnant women walk, and I used to ape them. I'm glad that practice came to some good use now," she laughed.

Talk to her about her love nest gifted to her by Siddharth Roy Kapoor, and she chooses to evade the questions, but says that she believes in the institution of marriage and that a time will come when tying the knot would be the right thing to do. "I'm in a happy space. I won't delay marriage. I'll give in to it when I'm ready for it. It's an important institution and would be a very sacred part of my life," said Vidya.

Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit to be immortalised in wax

Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit, well-known for her natural acting talent and graceful dancing, is the latest Indian film star to join the A-list line up at London's Madame Tussauds.

The 44-year-old actress has already posed in Mumbai for sculptors from the musuem and is expected to unveil her likeness in London in March, according to the website of the famed wax musuem. It will cost 150,000 pounds to create and will take a team of sculptors, hair, makeup and wardrobe experts four months to create.

"The decision to include Madhuri is set to delight Bollywood fans around the world as we are constantly inundated with requests to feature Madhuri. Her figure will make a stunning new addition to our Bollywood area which continues to grow in popularity every year," read the statement.

"With so many awards to her name and a career spanning over 25 years she undoubtedly deserves her place here and we expect huge interest in the figure when she takes up residence next year!" the statement further added.

"I am really thrilled I am going to be included at Madame Tussauds. It's a real mark of achievement and to be recognised for one's art and work. It's also wonderful to be following in the footsteps of other Bollywood stars and some of my personal heroes!" said Madhuri in the statement.

To ensure authenticity, Madhuri will be closely involved in the creation process, collaborating with the Madame Tussauds team to agree the pose and even donating a Manish Malhotra sari for her figure to wear. Her hair will flow loosely over her shoulders, styled to show off her long tresses to full effect.

Madhuri's wax figure will join those of five big names from Indian cinema - Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Hrithik Roshan, Salman Khan and Amitabh Bachchan.

Japanese Spicy Chicken

As Bengali we like our food spicy. In fact sometimes we aren't satiated unless we've had something really hot and smouldering. But spiciness need not be restricted to our food alone. So here is a spicy recipes for those times when you want to cook up an alternative dinner and not your normal curries, but you stop yourself because you miss the spice.

Ingredients
- 8 chicken drumsticks
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 2 1/2 tbs sugar
- 1 garlic clove
- Peeled and bruised
- 1 small hot chili pepper
- Slit open
- Seeds removed

Method
Place all ingredients in a saucepan over high heat. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 20 mins. Remove any scum that rises to the surface. Increase the heat, turning the drumsticks frequently in the sauce, and cook until the liquid has reduced to a sticky glaze. Arrange the chicken on a serving platter, remove the garlic clove and chili from the liquid, and spoon the glaze over.

Packing up for the day would have meant sending Hrithik Roshan and Sanjay Dutt home, too. 

But Katrina proved to be a thorough professional and insisted that the actors needn't worry about her. She resumed her dance in no time, and completed the shoot as planned. Looks like this Chameli gave it her 100 per cent, no aadha, pahua here!

'Sonam Kapoor' to don bikini

The young actress has got into hot yoga for this. Dad Anil Kapoor and mom Sunita are also giving her company 

It's been six months now and the Kapoors - Anil, Sunita and daughter Sonam - are pleased with the difference hot yoga has made in their lives. Sonam's doing it for a bikini bod, while her parents are doing it for fitness. The family is working out together under the watchful instructions of Los Angeles-based couple Mark and Christianne Mead - disciples of the founder of Bikram Yoga (popularly known as hot yoga). 

Anil, who was in LA earlier this year, met the yoga guru, who has the likes of Madonna, Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore, Lady Gaga and George Clooney as clients and expressed keenness to learn Bikram Yoga. However, Anil required a trainer who would be in Mumbai to teach him. "Bikram recommended the Meads who flew in to Mumbai in July this year and have been tutoring them exclusively since," says Anil.

Sonam is working out for a sequel to her latest film that will have her sporting a bikini for the first time. She says, "I want to get fitter. And yes, I'm learning hot yoga to get a bikini body. I don't believe one has to sport a size-zero figure to flaunt it. One just needs a fit, sexy and toned body." Says papa Anil, "Hot yoga has not just helped me physically but has also made me calmer. Being in the kind of business I am in, the mind tends to wander. Hot yoga puts everything into the right perspective so the mind doesn't wander and concentrates on one thing at a time."
