Zee Cine Awards 2012

The Zee Cine Awards or "ZCA" for short is an awards ceremony for the Hindi film industry. It was first held in 1998 in Mumbai. Since then, it has gained substantial popularity as a notable awards ceremony to the Indian population as well as to the viewers of Zee Network.

Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL), India’s leading television, media and entertainment conglomerate hosted the World’s Biggest Viewers’ Choice Award – Pan Bahar Presents Zee Cine Awards 2012 at Asia’s leading destination for business, leisure and entertainment, The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel on 21st January, 2012.
Bollywood stars sizzled at the Zee Cine Awards 2012. Shahrukh Khan and his ‘Don 2’ co-star Priyanka Chopra hosted the event. Bollywood stars entertained the Venetian Macau audience with their sizzling performance.
Like many times, the Best Actor (Jury) award went to Shah Rukh Khan for 'Don 2'. While Ranbir Kapoor won the Best Actor (Popular) award for 'Rockstar'. While Vidya Balan secured both the Best Actress (Popular) and Best Actress (Jury) award for 'The Dirty Picture'.
The veteran actor Jeetendra got the Lifetime Achievement Award.
The Best Director award went to Imtiaz Ali’s basket for 'Rockstar'. The Best Film (Jury) award went to “The Dirty Picture” and “RA.One”, the Best Action Film. Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti for 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' got the Best Story award. Best Editing award went to Aarti Bajaj for 'Rockstar'.
AR Rahman got the Best Music award and Irshad Kamil for 'Rockstar' got the Best Lyrics award.
It was an evening of glitz, glamour and appreciation that all Bollywood fans across the globe were waiting for. The nominations were announced on January 1, 2012 for outstanding film achievements of the year 2011. With millions of votes pouring in every year from across the globe, Pan Bahar Presents Zee Cine Awards 2012 is the most definitive measure of viewers’ choice in movie awards.
In 2004, the ZCA went international and had their ceremony in Dubai, and in following years in London, Mauritius, Malaysia, and London again in 2008. It was not held in 2009 or 2010, but resumed in 2011, being held in Singapore.
