Lux Channel i Superstar, Bidya Sinha Meem's career graph has soared after she defeated hundreds of contestants in the competition.
That was the beginning of a magical journey. It won her an amazing opportunity to be a part of the film, “Amar Achhe Jol”, directed by Humayun Ahmed. Such an offer right at the beginning of her career gave a big boost to herself-confidence.
She started off with dedication, and tried to give off her best in her first movie. The big day arrived for its release. To her astonishment, the film was a box office hit.
On her debut in the world of films, Meem said, “I am really fortunate to be able to step into the media under a great director like Humayun Ahmed. Winning the Lux Channel i Superstar competition and enacting a role in 'Amar Achhe Jol', were definitely the turning points of my career.”
Meem is much in demand in her avatar as an actor. She works in short films, telefilms, daily soaps and occasionally in advertisements. She has even worked in a film named “Amar Praaner Priya” earlier this year with actor Shakib Khan. The movie was a commercial success. “I was very hopeful about the movie, and the audience response was very encouraging,” added Meem. On her plans for other movies, she said “I am waiting for the right kind of script.”
Ten of Meem's television serials were broadcast last Eid-Ul-Azha, among them “Shopnomoyi”, “Makbul Enterprise”, “Shanatan Babu O Tar Shopner Projapoti Gulo” and “Lighthouse”.
Meem also has a full plate with daily soaps like “Oloshpuri”, “Uttaradhikar”, “Shokal Shondha Raat” and “Motijheel Commercial Area” being aired currently. “My characters in the serials differ vastly and I have put in my best,” she says.
