Shah Rukh, the brand ambassador for the state of West Bengal has already started his share of promoting the city and the State with grandeur and intensity.
Our Badshah Khan appointed as the brand ambassador for Prayag Film City created in West Bengal. The most bankable star in the history of endorsement and advertising, it has been ages since Shah Rukh has been ruling the rooster without a fierce competition.
And even now, his star power can be assessed from the innumerable endorsement offers that come his way all the time. But this one is special and very dear to his heart. It is almost like the first stepping stone into his desire of promoting the state of West Bengal to another dimension.
The Prayag Group, known for its diversified interests in the world of infrastructure, hospitality and film production is embarking on their new venture, the Prayag Film City! The project estimated at 1000 crore INR is expected to spread across an area of a massive 2700 acres. Being an integrated film complex, the film city would be open to general public in two phases at Chandrakona, West Midnapore district of West Bengal which is about 165 kms away from the city. Beautifully crafted by Bollywood director Nitish Roy, the first phase is slated to open up on 15th of April, 2012.
Avik Bagchi, managing director, Prayag Group, said “The Indian film industry, which is seen as one of the largest of its kind in the world, is poised for increased growth. It is imminent that significant infrastructure creation is the need of the hour to sustain rapid development of the industry. We are happy that this project is coming up at a juncture when the entire film industry is looking for more facilities to create more quality products worldwide.”
Our King Khan, on the other hand was quite happy and thrilled to be a part of such a programme. He has always considered Kolkata as his second home. The decision to be the State’s brand ambassador was quite easy for him. When Bengal’s Chief Minister and the famous didi, Mamata Banerjee offered Brother Shah Rukh the role of Bengal’s brand ambassador; he instantly gave his nod of approval. Rather, he enjoys being in the city, thanks to the love and appreciation he receives from millions of hearts of the city!
Shah Rukh Khan said, “I belong to this industry and projects like this build its future. So, I’m very happy to be the ambassador for Prayag Film City.With the IPL season going on, there’s a buzz that their brand ambassador, Shah Rukh would be present at the inaugural ceremony. Now busy promoting his team Kolkata Knight Riders, their principal owner was rumoured to go back packing around the State as a part of a tourism campaign.
A film with YRF, cheering for his team Kolkata Knight Riders, a promotional campaign with Shoojit Sircar and now a brand endorsement, Shah Rukh is a real busy man! But his indomitable energy that he’s known for, we are sure he can pull off anything and almost everything with élan.
