You looked picture perfect on your wedding day, what with your dazzling makeup, your stunning attire and jewellery and your hairstyle looking like a dream. Now that the wedding has finally taken place and you find some breathing space, all you want to do is relax. But not so fast! Though you have carefully put away your wedding saree and jewellery and removed your make up, there is one more thing that needs immediate attention: your hair. With gallons of hairspray and tons of mousse, it is very likely that your hair will turn into a birds nest if you ignore it and go to sleep. Though shampooing at the dead of the night may sound like a pain, it is essential and you will only be thankful for it later.

Some Tips:
1. Carefully remove all the pins and accessories from your hair. You can ask somebody for help since it requires more than two tired hands to remove them with patience. Make sure you dont pull them out too hard as it may end up breaking and damaging your hair. Start from the end of your hair first and then move up towards the head.
2. Now comb the hair to get rid of the tangles. Do this slowly with a wide-toothed comb to untangle your hair without causing too much pain. Proceed from end towards the top. Comb your hair by dividing it into sections and combing each section carefully to remove tangles.
3. Take a warm shower. Make sure the water is neither too hot nor too cold. Lukewarm is the best temperature, as it will help ease out the chemicals and sprays that you have used so far without damaging your hair. Rinse your hair gently under running water for at least 10 minutes.
4. Take a mild shampoo and lather it all over your hair. Gently massage each and every area of your scalp with your finger tips for a thorough cleansing. Rinse in lukewarm water and make sure all the shampoo is gone.
5. Apply a little bit of conditioner and blow-dry with a hair-drier set on medium or low heat. Once your hair is dry, comb it with a wide-toothed comb to get rid of all the tangles. In case you didnt apply the conditioner, apply a bit of oil on the scalp to make sure it doesnt dry up.
6. After three days, ask your hairstylist if they have any good protein treatment to get rid of the chemical effects. Then have your hair rinsed off with shampoo and after wards get an oil massage to restore your hair to its natural health.
