Golshifteh Farahani, the Iranian actress, who went international with the 2008 spy drama 'Body of Lies' pairing opposite Leonardo DiCaprio has been banned from returning to her homeland.

The beautiful actress appeared naked in a photoshoot for a French magazine. She was featured in 'Madame Le Figaro' magazine.
Sources said, she appeared in the news magazine 'Madame Le Figaro' in protest against the ultra-conservative cultural policies, which she claims are restricting Iran's film industry.
She said, "I was told by a Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guide official that Iran does not need any actors or artists and 'you may offer your artistic services somewhere else'".
On the other hand, the actress got acknowledged and was admired from some fans for her courage in attempting a taboo subject among Muslim women.
Golshifteh also appeared topless in a short black-and-white film by Jean-Baptiste Mondino, called "Corps et Âmes," or "Bodies and Souls".
Golshifteh Farahani is a Crystal-Simorgh winning Iranian actress and pianist. Golshifteh was cast as the lead in Dariush Mehrjui's The Pear Tree for which she won the Crystal Roc for Best Actress from the International Section of the 16th Fajr International Film Festival in Tehran.
She has acted in 20 films, many of which have received international awards. In Iran, Golshifteh was part of an underground rock band named "Kooch Neshin" (Nomads) which won the 2nd Tehran Avenue underground rock competition.
