Yes…u guessed it right! Johnny Depp is going to portray the character of a vampire in his latest flick 'Dark Shadows'.

The veteran actor will play a pale-faced and long finger nailed vampire. The vampire is to be named Barnabas Collins. It is a Tim Burton film and is based on a 1960s TV drama of the same name. The series aired on ABC from 1966 to 1971.
Michelle Phieffer and Eva Green will be witches of film.
The plot of the film is Barnabas' encounter with monsters, witches, werewolves and other fictional creatures. Barnabas will break the heart of the witches and out of revenge they make him into a vampire.
The 48 year old actor had been a fan as a child of the series “Dark Shadows”. Depp and Graham King were supposed to produce the movie with David Kennedy, who ran Dan Curtis Productions inc. until Curtis died in 2006.
Depp has collaborated with director and close friend Tim Burton in seven films, beginning with Edward Scissorhands (1990), opposite Winona Ryder and Vincent Price. Other Tim Burton films with Depp includes the 1994 film, Ed Wood, Sleepy Hollow (1999), 2005 in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Corpse Bride, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007) etc.
